AMY WILLIAMS
Amy began her professional singing career as Cinderella in Banff, Canada during her attendance at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. After graduation, Amy sang with the Houston Grand Opera, the Metropolitan Opera Auditions, the Santa Fe Opera, the Australian Opera in Sydney and went on to star and direct for four summers with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston.
She then completed her Masters in Education from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. After marrying her college sweetheart, she taught community college and high school musical theater and voice in Houston, Dallas and in Huntersville, North Carolina at Christ the King Catholic High School. Her last three directorial productions for CTK of SMILE, THE SOUND OF MUSIC and 42nd STREET received Exemplary Honors in the Blumey Awards for High School Theater in the Piedmont area.
She then left her years of high school teaching to open her own voice studio, Wyo Bel Canto (WBC) and is thrilled to bring her love of singing to you! Let’s breathe in and exhale and get singing!
